New GP After Hours service to provide 24 hour health advice for all - Launched on 1 July 2011

Launched on 1st July 2011:  GP After Hours is the Australian Government’s new medical advice and diagnosis service which will provide telephone access to GP advice free of charge to the public in the following hours:
• 6pm to 8am Monday to Saturday
• 12pm Saturday to 8am Monday
• On national, state and territory public holidays

The service will form part of the healthdirect Australia initiative and will help individuals with health concerns who need to see a GP at night or on the weekend when their usual practice is closed. From August 2010: Computer Literacy Programs for Seniors (over 50s): Huskisson Bowling Club proudly introduces our new BROADBAND FOR SENIORS KIOSK:  Do you want to learn how to use a computer but don't know where to start?  Thanks to the Australian Government and NEC Australia, Huskisson Bowling Club can now offer Seniors (over 50) a chance to learn how to use a computer free of charge!   Lessons will cover email, word processing (writing), internet searching, and other skills which seniors may wish to learn.  A section of the club has been set aside with two computers with broadband access.
